About this property

The Pheasant Apartment is a superb, newly-appointed, two-bedroom apartment on two floors above an award-winning country inn – the Pheasant at Neenton. The apartment lies opposite the small church and has village views from both floors.

The large living, dining and kitchen area on the first floor of the inn gives you complete independence. With comfortable sofas, large-screen TV and a stylish dining area, with local books and games to hand, you can hole up and relax here for as long as you wish.

You can cater for yourselves whenever you feel inclined, but when you don’t, downstairs in the bars and restaurant, the Pheasant serves some of the best food in Shropshire. The charming and historic pub, lovingly restored by the local community, has a large orchard garden and an outdoor dining terrace, so you’ve got the best of all worlds!

Beneath the eaves, upstairs on the second floor, are two double bedrooms, one with a super-king bed, one with a king, and a shared bathroom with shower. The apartment is accessed by an external staircase straight from the large car park.

The Pheasant, which has three super-comfortable guest bedrooms as well as the apartment, was voted one the 100 best places to stay in 2023 by The Times and Sunday Times travel writers. Where better for a break with friends or family? Book by the week, or just for a few days, as you wish.

The market town of Bridgnorth lies in two very distinct halves - the High Town and the Low Town - separated by the red sandstone ridge on which the town is built. The two halves are connected by winding streets and flights of steps, or there is always the steep funicular railway, enabling the weary traveller to glimpse what Charles I called "the finest view in all my kingdom". A bustling Saturday street market provides an ample excuse to explore the town and examine the castle ruins, which lean at a greater angle than the Leaning Tower of Pisa! Flowing below is the River Severn, providing many pleasant riverside walks. The Severn Valley Railway runs between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster, and runs a variety of steam and diesel engines through picturesque country stations. In the areas surrounding Bridgnorth, there are a wealth of country parks, impressive houses, museums and picturesque Shropshire villages, as well as easy access to The Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford, and Ironbridge Gorge, with its 10 museums and striking landscape. The area offers excellent walking, and with the popular destinations of Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Church Stretton all within easy reach, it is ideal for a visit any time of the year.
