About this property

A traditional semi-detached 19th century cottage located in the Herefordshire village of Upton Bishop. This lovely cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside which offers many walks, cycle routes and horseback riding. The cottage benefits from many original features including stone flag floors, ceiling beams, elm doors and a wonderful elm staircase. A very well-equipped kitchen leads to a spacious snug with a double sofa bed. There is a lovely dining room to seat all guests and a warm and welcoming sitting room with open fire and lovely views across the large cottage garden. Make your way upstairs to the first floor double bedroom and cottage bathroom. The second floor has a twin bedroom with long distant views to the Malvern Hills. Outside, the wonderful enclosed rear garden can be enjoyed at any time of day with a large lawned area for picnics and family games and a patio with furniture where guests can enjoy alfresco dining on a summer's evening. Take a stroll to the village pub which serves home-cooked food using local produce, as well as a good selection of real ales. The ancient town of Newent and pretty riverside town of Ross-on-Wye are both close by. Why not visit a National Trust property or try one of the many outdoor activities on offer in the area? A wonderful cottage to be enjoyed at any time of year.

The thriving village of Upton Bishop lies in beautiful Herefordshire countryside close to the border with Gloucestershire and has an excellent village pub, craft centre and is just 3 miles from the pretty riverside town of Ross-on-Wye. Upton Bishop offers many lovely walks and cycle routes with the Herefordshire Trail and Wye Valley Walk both close by.
