Guests say

Bearwood Cottage receives high praise for its comfort, cleanliness, and picturesque location. Guests appreciate the cosy fire, beautiful countryside, and the thoughtful welcome hamper. While some mention noise from a nearby games room and a lack of a second toilet, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Reviews consistently mention the cottage being spotless and well-maintained, indicating high standards of cleanliness that contribute to the overall positive experience of the guests.

The cottage's location is frequently described as beautiful and peaceful, with easy access to local attractions and countryside. However, a few guests noted issues with a nearby games room causing noise and a ploughed-over footpath, slightly affecting the score.

Guests find the cottage to be very comfortable, with special mentions of a cosy fire and a big, fluffy bed. The presence of a tree swing and the provision of bikes add to the comfort and enjoyment of the stay.

The cottage is praised for its brilliant facilities and extras like a welcome hamper. However, some guests experienced issues with noise from a nearby games room and patchy WiFi, which suggests room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

While guests are delighted with the welcome hamper and mention the thoughtfulness of the owners, there are not enough reviews explicitly discussing the consistency of such gestures to accurately score this category. It should be noted that while appreciated, such gifts are not guaranteed.

What a fantastic cottage this is , we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was so peaceful and the views are breathtaking. The field next door had a few sheep who popped over to say hello and that was the extent of any interaction which was exactly what we wanted. The owners are lovely people who were very helpful and kind, they also left the most fantastic welcome food basket All I can say further is to give it a try , you'll love it

Perfect in every way. Welcome pack was lovely. We even liked the comedy taps in the kitchen. The whole assembly is on backwards so you get soaked when you turn them off.

The cottage was beautiful and clean. Very grateful for the wonderful welcome hamper, well stocked including home made treats. The children loved the swing and the surrounding land was just lovely. However, in our opinion the grounds were not dog friendly. Only 5 minutes after arriving our dog ran into the cattle grid at the end of the driveway which was not gated. She was badly injured and obviously this spoilt the holiday. There were sheep right next to the property and gaps under the fencing. Please be aware you may need to consider keeping your dog on a lead the whole time.
