The Old Power House Cottage 1 is a delight of a holiday home, in a prime location for exploring the lands of the Welsh Marches. Shobdon is a small village resting within close reach of the historic market towns of Leominster and Presteigne. Within the village you will find village shop, an excellent pub/restaurant, and even a private airfield, offering opportunities to to learn how to fly helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. Nearby Leominster comes with a larger selection of shops, cafes, antiques centres and pubs.

The bathroom is very large and there were plenty of large towels. The owner met us on arrival for a chat. The only downside is the road, if you wanted to walk to the pub or shop the first part has no footpath. We had a great stay

So clean , warm and comfortable & every possible amenity thought of , even down to the bathroom toiletries. Congratulations on a wonderful conversion , combined with a delightful area to visit.

Visitors are spoilt with the comfort of their surroundings and can be safe in the knowledge that the kitchen and bathroom are amply stocked for every eventuality however it must be noted for future guests that there is a WiFi curfew in place between the hours of 8pm and 8am every day. Obviously for guests not wishing to use streaming services or Internet during these hours this will have no relevance but unfortunately for us it presented as a nuisance. Also the lack of pavement on the road exiting the property impacted on our willingness to explore the area on foot which again was unfortunate but not insurmountable.
