Mainstone House is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its historical charm, spaciousness, and well-equipped nature. The property caters to a range of ages with ample entertainment options, including a hot tub and games. The garden is appreciated, and the house's character and cleanliness receive positive mentions. While some guests note the challenge of stairs and sloping floors for those with mobility issues, the overall sentiment is one of satisfaction and a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently note the property's cleanliness, with several reviews mentioning it was 'spotless' and 'cleaned to perfection'. Fresh flowers and a welcoming atmosphere contribute to the high ratings in this category.

The location is generally well-regarded for its proximity to local amenities like pubs and shops. However, some guests mention traffic noise due to the property being near a crossroads, which slightly impacts the score.

The comfort of Mainstone House is frequently highlighted, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the property spacious. Multiple quiet corners and a warm environment contribute to a high comfort level.

Facilities are praised, especially the well-stocked kitchen, hot tub, and games. However, there are some concerns about maintenance issues like a broken Aga and hot tub temperature, which prevent a perfect score.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident through the provision of toys, books, and welcome gifts such as chocolates and biscuits. While these gestures are appreciated, it is noted that such gifts may vary and are not guaranteed.

Couldn’t fault the house at all. The only thing that was an issue was it being on the crossroads it was difficult to walk straight out of the door with our dogs and go for a walk as there weren’t any paths to go on to get to quieter roads but it was a great position for discovering the area

Ledbury was also a must visit town.

Everything we needed was there. Unfortunately the pub over the road shut down the week before we arrived but there is an excellent tea shop directly across from the house. The main road traffic noise and the daily attendance of the hot tub maintenance individuals were the only two small slightly problematic issues. The landlord was lovely and did inform us when the hot tub was being maintained so we did our best to ensure the two dogs we had with us were out of the way to avoid barking! The main road noise is just something to be aware of, it didn’t affect our stay. All in all it was a lovely experience, it was clean, had ample facilities, the beds were extremely comfy and the garden and outlook was fantastic. I’d thoroughly recommend it as a base for a large party to explore the area.
