Great welcome pack on arrival it was a lovely thoughtful touch and great start to our holiday. Fantastic walks in every direction from the cottage, the locals made us feel very welcome good food in both the Royal Oak and the Swan Hotel. We slept really well all week in a very comfortable bed and the cottage was well equipped for all our needs.

Flo's Cottage in Kington was a real gift. The location is stunning with one pub 2 doors down and another (the Swan) across the road. 2 mins into the town and there are more pubs, cafes and shops. Parking is to be found in the square and although busy, there was always a spot for the car. the people were exceptionally and genuinely friendly and most places welcomed dogs (even in just certain areas of the facility). Just down the road, is the small breed and Owl farm - what an unexpected treat. The other way is the Hergest Croft Gardens and cafe and also the Hergest Ridge (with a little croft of Monkey Trees). Shobdon, Hay-on Wye and Elan Valley were also enjoyed. All recommended very helpfully by the lady at the tourist Information in town. The cottage itself was full of hidden delights, with one of the best and most helpful information packs we've read. The front door opens into the living room where a dining table, and 2 sofas greet you. Throws and cushions a plenty. The TV is amble size and plenty of streaming apps to be found via the Roku. The kitchen is off this space and is fully equipped with everything you need (although we did take our own little coffee pod machine). A lovely welcome basket greeted us which was thoroughly enjoyed. The garden is off the kitchen and Lottie, our Springer Spaniel enjoyed investigating all the plants and spaces - a lot!Whilst you have to go up the stairs to the bathroom (a little steep), there is an additional toilet in the top twin room as well. This is hidden in what looks like cupboard doors, so do explore. The snug is fully equipped with books and dvds and is a restful space, especially if there are more than 2 people sharing. A double bed, equipped with wardrobe, bedside tables and a dresser a few stairs up and the twin up the top.We loved our time at Flo's and would definitely consider again.
