A converted former wood shed, this luxury cottage is set next to the owners own property, and offers guests a spacious and comfortable place to enjoy, located in the heart of Herefordshire with access to a private hot tub within the garden. Enjoying stunning views from the grounds of the property, there is also a private woodland owned by the owners that guests can explore just a short walk from the front door.
The property is semi-detached and set over two floors. On entering the property there is entrance hall for storing boots and coats, which leads to a open plan living space. The living area has a wood burner for those cooler evening and the kitchen is well-equipped. There is also a sun room with seating and coffee tables, this lovely room takes in the views of the surrounding farmland. Upstairs has two bedroom one with en-suite shower room, and the family bathroom completes the property.
Set just 9 miles away from the beautiful town of Hay-on-Wye, popular for its literary festival, this property is an ideal haven for guests wanting to get away from it all, but is also perfect for those who are looking for adventure, with walks nearby including Hay Bluff Hill and the Black Mountain. There are plenty of areas of interest for guests to visit including Hay Castle, Hergest Croft Gardens, or why not take a canoe down the River Wye, a perfect way to take in the breathtaking views of the Wye Valley. Also within easy reach is the city of Hereford which offers a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops, including many independent stores.

Me and two mates had an amazing fishing weekend here. The Woodshed is lovely, as was the hot tub, and it came with amazing scenery. Very close to the River Wye which was perfect for us. The owner is very accommodating, we even arrived to a welcome hamper!Would highly recommend staying here whether it be for hikers, fishers, or someone just looking for a relaxing stay.

Has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We didn't use the Hot tub as weather to hot but a fan was provided. Wi fi was not the best but we found it sufficient for our needs. Good location and the view from the conservatory was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

The Woodshed is everything but a ‘woodshed’. It is a lovely house with large rooms, two fantastic bathrooms with power shower. The location is a bit isolated. There is no village you can walk to. So a car is essential. But once there the place is fantastic. A huge garden with a lovely Hot-Tub. That was a novelty for us but we soon got used to it and miss it in our small city plot. In the garden there are a few bird feeders and they attract a great variety of birds. Although not experienced birdwatchers, we recognized at least 20 different bird species. Apart from the obvious we saw lesser and greater spotted woodpecker, a tiny little Nuthatch, a Red billed Chough. And there were five grey squirrels. The latter frolic through the grass and hang upside down from the feed containers.At the back is a large ‘Woodland’ where you can walk freely. And so much more. The owners are friendly and can always advise on places to visit. This can only lead to the conclusion that we definitely recommend The Woodshed Cottage as a place to stay and as a base from where to explore Hereford and the surrounding area.
