Upon arrival, you will find an off-road parking space, and a lovely front garden with furniture and fire pit, perfect for alfresco dining with a view. Be welcomed into your new home from home, where you will find a light and airy open-plan living space, complete with well-equipped kitchen, a dining area for two for savouring meals over a glass of wine, and an inviting sitting area with plush seating, a Smart TV and a woodburning stove; the owners also kindly provide a welcome pack consisting of homemade cake and bread, apple juice, milk, butter, a selection of teas and coffee, condiments, olive oil and marmalade to kickstart your holiday. Continue through to find a beautiful bathroom with freestanding bath encased with bookshelves, so you can enjoy a soak with your favourite book, and a separate shower room for quick freshen ups. When sleep calls, a sumptuous super-king-size bed awaits in a circular room, complete with blackout curtains, so you can catch-up on some well-deserved rest. On-site you will find an honesty shop, where you can pick up fresh eggs, freezer meals, tins, rice, pasta, pesto, homemade jams and chutneys, bread, and crockery, or meet the resident goats, hens and ducks on the land. You can also help yourself to seasonal fruit and vegetables, logs, firelighters, charcoal, and kindling. Nearby, you will find the welcoming Fountain Inn, serving local ales and authentic Thai food or head to the Kilpeck Inn for a hearty meal and cold beverage with your loved ones. From your doorstep, there is also a local pottery and crafts for sale so you can curate something to commemorate your fantastic getaway. Continue onto Ross-on-Wye, where you can dine at The Hope and Anchor, No3, and The Mint House, enjoy leisurely strolls along the River Wye and the Thomas Blake Memorial Garden, or further onto Symonds Yat, where you can spot the local wildlife in the nature reserves of Miners Rest and Woodside, canoe along the River Wye, or hike up Yat Rock for breath-taking views. Further afield, you’ll find the Forest of Dean, where you can experience a variety of waterpsorts, bike rides, hight ropes courses, gin tasting, workshops, and archery. Located in Herefordshire between the towns of Garway and Hillgates is the picturesque village of Orcop. There is a historic church dedicated to St. John the Baptist and a popular restaurant serving Thai food in this community that is known for its well-preserved castle. The next destination is Ross-on-Wye, where you can take a stroll around the Thomas Blake Memorial Garden, shop till you drop, dine at The Mint House, The Man of Ross, or The Hope & Anchor, and more. Keep going to Symonds Yat, where you can go on a nature walk at Miners Rest or Woodside, discover King Arthur's Cave, feed your loved ones at the Wye Knot Inn, Ye Old Ferrie Inn, or Harvest, or take in breathtaking vistas from the peak of Yat Rock.
