With its mediaeval bridge over the winding River Wye, the cathedral city of Hereford is the very image of picturesque England. Eclectic Hereford is a popular starting point for exploring the region because of its wide range of architectural styles and its proximity to the Black and White villages of the area, as well as Shropshire, Worcestershire, and The Cotswolds. Hereford is well-known for its cider, but it is also home to the Mappa Mundi, the largest and most elaborate pre-15th century map. It can be found in the cathedral alongside the Chained Library, which houses over 1500 rare books dating all the way back to the 8th century. Also close by are the mediaeval buildings of Leominster, which are often perched precariously above the street; and Symonds Yat, a rocky outcrop on a 5-mile bend in the River Wye with breath-taking views and protected peregrine falcon nests.

We didn’t want for anything! Although we toured the area we always looked forward to coming back to spend time in the hot tub each night, so relaxing regardless of the weather. Also Steph’s recommendation for places to eat were really helpful. We hope we can come back in the future to this lovely find!

Can’t fault it in anyway whatsoever, everything was excellent, there is a guest book with so much helpful information for your day. Owners have gone above and beyond to ensure you have all you need for your stay. Only thing we weren’t a fan of was the pub down the road (Cross Keys Inn), simply wouldn’t bother there is plenty of pubs in the town (10-15 minute drive) and there is a pub a bit closer called the swan which was amazing. Beautiful location, lovely and quiet but close enough to shops etc. Can’t recommend enough we were really impressed with all aspects. Thank you to Jarrod & Steph for your wonderful holiday home! X

Spotlessley clean and furnished to the highest standards. Everything you need to take a relaxing break. The hot tub is amazing ... a towel rail is the only thing I would suggest although they dried perfectly but draped over the kitchen stools. We visited Hereford (food/shopping/cinema). Symonds Yat (stunning), Ross on Wye, and by far the most stunning ... Ludlow. Recommended by the owner, it did not disappoint. Truly picturesque (castle cafe was welcoming and the scones delicious). A must visit if you have the time. Thank you for sharing Little Lugg with us. Would highly recommend.
