About this property

This beautiful, renovated farmhouse is surrounded by unspoilt Herefordshire countryside in Bolstone, just a stone’s throw from the meandering River Wye and less than a half an hour drive from Hereford. Providing comfortable and spacious living accommodation, this fantastic, detached 17th century timbered conversion is ideal for large groups seeking to enjoy a memorable holiday together in a beautiful location. Bolstone Court retains many of its original features, including wall and ceiling beams, a stone floor, inglenook fireplaces and even a now unused, feature bread oven. There is a large, well-equipped kitchen, a separate dining room with a woodburning stove, plus two wonderful sittings rooms with stoves of their own. The six bedrooms are furnished to offer versatile accommodation, including a double on the ground floor with a small en-suite and a master bedroom with a stunning, king-size four poster bed and its own dressing room. There are also a further three bedrooms with en-suite facilities, one of which enjoys a luxurious, freestanding roll-top bath. Outside, the front and rear gardens offer plenty of space for outdoor games, alfresco dining, or relaxing with a refreshing drink on summer evenings, while next door, a charming 13th century church has been converted into a unique indoor games room with table tennis, table football and darts. As well as wonderful walks leading from the doorstep into unspoilt countryside, there are an abundance of outdoor activities to enjoy close by. Enjoy a meal at the nearby Cottage of Content, a charming, country cottage pub and restaurant, or relax and unwind with a massage at Holme Lacy House Hotel and Spa. Alternatively, you can spend lazy afternoons exploring the many charming towns and villages in the surrounding area. With so much to see and do in Herefordshire, this stunning holiday home is perfect for family and friends to enjoy a beautiful part of the country, all year round.

Little Dewchurch is a village near the Wye Valley in Herefordshire, a stunning Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Settled between the towns of Hereford and Ross-on-Wye, the village has a shop and a pub, as well as being a wonderful base for exploring the beautiful, surrounding countryside. Whether it be on foot, on a bike ride, or even in the car, the area is full of opportunities for brilliant days out. Visit the city of Hereford, home of the Mappa Mundi, the largest and most elaborate pre-15th century map in existence, which resides in the cathedral alongside the famous Chained Library, which houses a collection of over 1500 rare books from as early as the 8th century. A few miles south you can visit The Forest of Dean, or venture East to the Malvern Hills, another area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are so many wonderful things to do in the surrounding area that it definitely makes a wonderful base for a holiday!
