A lovely secluded, spacious, luxury barn conversion all on one level with great views over the countryside and walks galore available from the property. Three comfortable double bedrooms (all ensuite) and wooden floors throughout. With plenty of comfortable chairs to relax in and admire the views, we all had a very relaxing break. Reached via a 600 yards rough track off a narrow lane, it really is worth discovering and we spent ten days there getting away from fireworks noise that petrifies our dog at home. The Wi-Fi was down for several days but we were kept fully informed by helpful staff at the Downton estate office until it was fixed. Otherwise, there was a very weak phone signal (O2 network) to keep in touch with the outside world. A well stocked village shop in nearby Leintwardine was very handy for our day to day needs and is only 10 minutes drive away. Would love to return here as it has everything thing we needed for a very comfortable relaxing holiday.

In nearly 50 years of staying in holiday cottages this was by far the most quiet and peaceful one we have ever stayed in. Very well equipped and a lovely secure garden for the dog. Plenty of walks straight from the door. We found the underfloor heating a bit overpowering as we were in the middle of a heatwave but I'm sure it's great in cooler weather. The only slight niggle was that some of the door locks could do with attention, they were very difficult to lock and unlock. We will definitely be back!
