Conveniently located just a few miles from Bromyard, a small but popular town situated midway between Hereford and Worcester, The Cider House is a great property for families or small groups. This detached converted cider mill is located at the rear of the owner’s home, with its own private garden and patio area. The area is best known for its hops and many farm shops, and cider/perry producers can be found locally.
Bromyard hosts its own steam gala and town criers’ events each year, and you can also take a step back in time at the Teddy Bear and Toy Museum, as well as enjoying the selection of independent shops and bars. The River Frome is nearby for those who like to enjoy canoeing and similar activities. Brockhampton Estate, Shortwood Farm, the Black and White Trail, Ledbury town with its timber framed buildings and historic 17th century market hall, and the city of Hereford with its cathedral and Mappa Mundi, are all a short drive away. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile drive away (not suitable for walking).

Brilliant stay. This house felt homely from the moment we got there. There was so much space, it was well stocked. We always have a bag of essentials and we didn’t actually need anything out of it. The beds were super comfortable, no one had a bad nights sleep once. It was clean and the whole family would go back again. The garden was secure for the dogs and plenty of space. It was a lovely peaceful area, but only 10 mins drive from major supermarkets. Lots of things to do in the area, I don’t think we had to travel more than 30 minutes once to find walks for the dogs or a place to visit for the day. We intend to visit again. Exactly what we wanted for our week away.

A lovely spacious place both house and garden. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay in a beautiful location. Would definitely stay again an ideal place for a family get together.

The cottage has potential to reflect 3*. It is in a lovely quiet location although signage too small to see when approaching off the main road. It does not reflect 3* ratings awarded and it does not meet the criteria for the rating. The cottage needs a deep clean and key furnishings replacing and general maintenance. Eg. Sofas marked and onf in particular has no support. Single bed mattresses no support and springs dig into your back. Not all the radiators work. Cups and glasses not clean. Cobwebs , dust and crumbs left under microwave and toaster . Having stayed in many rentals over the years to be is cottage is very tired and and in need of some investment.
