Southwold combines chic and old world charm and is famous for its beach huts, which the many paintings and photographs of the town reflect.  An essential part of the British seaside holiday, there are around 300 candy coloured beach huts overlooking the beach and stretching from the Pier to Gun Hill.  You can't stay overnight in them but with the sense of nostalgia they generate, they don't come cheap - some sell for up to £170,000!

This beach hut is perfectly located. Also very spacious for escaping the occasional rain shower.

The beach hut was excellent & in a brilliant central position along the prom - being close to the cafe & toilet block. I booked for 3 days which were the only days available during the week I wanted & was charged over £400. I felt that £400+ was a lot for the time we were allowed to spend there - from 4pm on Wednesday to 10am on Saturday. Otherwise a fab time was had by all.
