Snaptrip says

Oak Cottage in Reydon, Suffolk, is praised for its proximity to Southwold, cosy atmosphere, and thoughtful touches like a welcome pack. Guests appreciate the property's quiet location, sunny outdoor space, and well-stocked amenities. While most reviews are positive, highlighting the cottage's charm and convenience, a few guests have noted maintenance issues and concerns about the steep stairs.

Guests that stayed at this property said

There are no specific comments regarding the cleanliness of the property, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

The location is highly praised for being within walking distance to Southwold Pier and the town centre, as well as being close to a local pub and shop. Its convenience for both coastal attractions and inland sites like Sutton Hoo makes it an ideal base for exploring Suffolk.

Guests find the cottage cosy and comfortable, with comfortable sofas and a home-from-home feel. However, there are concerns about the steep stairs and the need for updates to the mattress and duvet, which suggests that while the property is generally comfortable, there is room for improvement.

The property is well-stocked and provides everything needed for a stay, with special mention of the welcome tray. However, there are negative comments about mismatched kitchenware, garden maintenance, and general upkeep that suggest the facilities could be better maintained.

The welcome pack and home comforts are appreciated by guests, indicating thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such personal touches, while delightful, are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

I’m my opinion not suitable for rental. The stairs and access to the bathroom through the main bedroom is potentially dangerous due to the very steep stairs (58 degrees). Various maintenance issues regarding the property have been discussed with Suffolk Secrets. Not one saucepan matched the one existing lid. The garden was poorly maintained. The mattress and duvet in the main bedroom need replacing due to worn condition. There were some nice touches with appropriate paintings but I would definitely not recommend this property.

A quiet, comfortable cottage ideally located not just for the coast but also for days out further afield - places like Sutton Hoo and the Bressingham Steam Museum are only around an hour away by car - and the coast is but 20 minutes away on foot. Our first time in Suffolk, and this is a place we'd choose again.
