With lovely views out towards the sea, and with only a footpath separating you from the beach, 8 East Cliff is a wonderful retreat in the centre of Southwold.
What a location! This fabulous coast cottage is just a stone’s throw from the beach - with no road down between you and the sea and just a short walk into town, it’s the perfect choice for a family seaside holiday.
Spyglass is beautiful, a well cared for, brick built terraced cottage with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Accommodation is stylish with wooden floors throughout, Smart TV, well furnished and decorated in coastal hues. Downstairs there’s a double bedroom with ensuite, fitted kitchen with dining table and chairs and a cosy living room. The second and third bedrooms and bathroom are on the first floor- all clean and bright, a really lovely comfortable holiday cottage.
The downstairs accommodation and facilities make this property a good option for less mobile guests
Spyglass is in central Southwold, within minutes of the marketplace, with the elegant Swan Hotel, an excellent range of small shops including a greengrocers with fresh local produce, family butcher and delicatessen. The upper promenade is ideal for a peaceful stroll at any time of the year and provides quick access to the beach and of course, the lighthouse in the town is a good landmark. There is also easy access to the common and a nearby footpath takes you down to the harbour with the foot ferry to Walberswick (summer only). Don't forget that the beach is never very far away!
Please note that this property is considered to be more suited for five people, but the owner is happy for six people to stay if they wish.

First floor:
Bedroom 2: Double bed, chest of drawers, sea views.
Bedroom 3: Bunk beds.
Family bathroom: small bath and hand held shower. WC. wash hand basin, heated towel rail, washing machine and tumble dryer in cupboard.
Outside: No garden but the beach is on the doorstep… Pets: 1 well behaved dog welcome.
Parking: On street parking.Nearest amenities: Close to shops, cafes, restaurants etc.

House was super, comfortable and in an excellent location. Kitchen very well stocked so we wanted for nothing. I struggled to get the key from the key safe and the contact number assisted immediately. If I'm looking for any ways to improve - and I need to look hard - the only thing I would suggest is there was no full length mirror anywhere in the property. But this is a very small point and we had a wonderful stay and plan to book again for early next year.

Cottage is in an excellent location on the seafront giving fantastic views of the sea. It was very clean with some thoughtful touches including tea, sugar, milk and biscuits being provided and big bath towels!
