Biggest problem was the cleanliness of the place; the floors, work tops, bath and sinks all needed a clean on arrival. The lounge looked as if it had not been vacuumed in the corners, under the television etc, for a long time. There is a damp patch in the corner of the twin-bedded room on the outside wall. The window frame in the back bedroom was dirty and mouldy (needs replacing.) The mattress topper was stained when I stripped the bed at the end of our stay. Otherwise, good heating and hot water and kitchen well equipped for family cooking.Location is great for accessing the beach and town. The cottage gave the impression it was a cottage for 6 but it was certainly difficult to seat 6 of us round the table in the kitchen-and we had 2 children with us! Welcome pack was appreciated, thank you.

Lovely cottage on the edge of Southwold village/town. Lovely area for walks on the beach and through the marches. Very relaxing and calm. We really enjoyed the cottage itself with its old world charm but enough modern comforts.
