Wander up to the pier (0.5 miles) and savour endless fish and chips on the promenade. For an easy, enjoyable walk, wander on down to Walberswick (1.5 miles), taking the passenger ferry across the river. For walks a little further away, take in the spectacular scenery at Dunwich Heath, and spot thrilling birdlife at rspb Minsmere (both 10 miles).
