About this property

Whether you have a taste for adventures in the great outdoors or simply want to cosy up in a charming retreat, this pretty cottage makes a wonderful choice. Located in the coastal village of Kessingland, it’s close to the beach, an excellent nature reserve, several family attractions and the fabulous Broads. Return home and you can relax in a stylish and welcoming space that’s ideal for a couple or small family with children over 12.

Soft, natural tones and a fresh, stylish decor ensure that this appealing retreat, once a fisherman’s cottage, makes a truly restful holiday getaway. Step into the airy lounge/diner, a lovely open-plan space with a comfy sofa and Smart TV, perfect for a quiet evening in. This room leads into the sweet kitchen, where you’ll find everything on hand for conjuring up tasty meals. As well as a boot room for hanging coats and storing your hiking boots, there’s also a family bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs, you’ll find the two appealing bedrooms. The compact patio at the back includes a sweet bench on which you can perch with a coffee or an evening drink. As for parking, no problem – there’s room for one car on the driveway.

In Kessingland you’ll find a small selection of pubs and cafes, while in Lowestoft and Southwold, both within 8 miles, there are plenty more options for dining and shopping. The huge, unspoilt beach is just 1 mile away, which is also home to Benacre National Nature Reserve – look out for migrating birds in the spring and autumn. To spend a day floating on the waterways of the Broads, head to Oulton Broad, 6 miles. And for family attractions, Africa Alive is just 1 mile away, with Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park 7.5 miles.
