About this property

This charming former dairy has been converted into a wonderful hideaway for a romantic stay with all that you could want as a home from home while you explore this beautiful part of the countryside.

Professional outside photography coming soon!

The Dairy features exposed beams, and there is also a large wood burning stove which makes a open plan living space to come back to in the colder months. The kitchen is well equipped with a coffee machine, washing machine and dishwasher. Upstairs there is a large bedroom with vaulted ceiling and a wet room with rainfall shower. The bedroom has a comfortable 6' super king-size bed to relax in.

Besides the grounds of the farm, there are footpaths close by and it is possible to walk into Laxfield, the neighbouring village with its 15th century thatched public house, The Kings Head offering good food and local ales. The coast is only a short drive away and you can choose from the bustling towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold or head to quieter stretches such as Dunwich and Minsmere where you can experience the landscape which sits in the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

There are two other barns which you can book at Green Valley Farm - The Cowshed and The Woodshed (each sleeping two guests).

I thought it was overpriced for what it was. The decor and fittings are tired and there is very little luxury about this cottage - the website pictures make it seem way larger/comfortable than it actually is in reality. But worst of all is the traffic that starts on the adjacent road at around 0630 and is so noisy that there is little chance of lie in. On the positive side the hamper was excellent. Overall a disappointing and overpriced experience which I would not recommend or repeat.
