The owners wanted the Scrumpy Shepherd to feel “like a luxury private hotel”, and they have certainly achieved it! This hand-crafted shepherd’s hut was built especially for them with huge attention to detail, high quality fixtures, furnishings and exquisite decorations… if you’re looking for a romantic escape for two, surrounded by countryside but with all the modern comforts of a luxury break, then the Scrumpy Shepherd is for you.

The hut contains a small bespoke oak kitchen, fully equipped with Emma Bridgewater crockery, combination microwave oven and fridge. You can enjoy your meal at the cosy seating area, or head outside and sit in the fresh air. There’s also a wood burning stove, luxury double bed and a beautiful en-suite shower room with copper shower head, wash basin, WC, hairdryer and complimentary luxury toiletries.

Step outside the hut and you’ll find yourself in a private orchard, accessible through a meadow of fruit trees. You’ll have use of the fire pit, barbecue and oak furniture. The views from the orchard, over the surrounding fields and meadows banking the Deben Valley are outstanding – perfect for admiring the sunset as you enjoy a glass of wine beside the flickering flames.

Garden with oak table and chairs, lighting, barbecue and fire pit.

There is room for dry storage for two bikes in the shed.

The Scrumpy Shepherd is located in a private orchard and can be reached by walking over a meadow of new and ancient fruit trees.
