The heated outdoor swimming pool; approximately 100 yards from the house with sun loungers on the pool area, heated changing rooms, toilets and an outside heated shower; is generally available from May half term holiday to end of September. A hard tennis court is also available for guests on a first come first served basis.

Private parking for one car is adjacent to the house, with additional space for visitor parking opposite the Barn.

The Manor House Estate stands on the edge of the coastal village of Bawdsey in one of the prettiest and most unspoilt parts of Suffolk, with many picturesque villages to explore.

There is a small village shop and a public house about one mile away in the neighbouring village of Alderton. Bawdsey Quay has a water sports centre and is an easy cycle ride or short drive away where you can watch the children crabbing, sit on the small sandy beach, visit the Boatyard café for a coffee or light lunch or take the foot ferry to Felixstowe old town.

The lively market town of Woodbridge with a farmers market every Saturday, cinema/theatre, small supermarket and many local independent shops is close, as is Orford where guests can enjoy a river cruise and visit RSPB’s Havergate Island where avocets thrive.
