A lovely 5 bedroom barn conversion, perfect for a family holiday or a group of couples looking for a getaway. The barn is located on a quiet private estate and has a communal heated swimming pool and tennis courts.

Set in the beautiful Suffolk Heritage coast, on the northern banks of the River Deben, Plough Barn is ideally situated on the Bawdsey peninsula with many beautiful villages, beaches and wildlife havens to explore.Ground floor

The front door opens into a hall with doors to the four bedrooms, utility room and bathroom leading off, together with oak stairs leading to the open plan living area on the first floor. The house has stunning oak floors throughout and tiled hallway.

Bedroom 1

This comfortable bedroom has a king size bed with bedside tables, lamps and plenty of storage with a large built in cupboard. A door leads to the en-suite shower room.

The oak stairs, Fitted with stair gates, lead directly to the spacious open plan, original beams, first floor with the kitchen and dining to the right and living room to the left.

The large kitchen/dining room, with vaulted ceiling and large French doors onto balcony, allowing light to stream in, has a south west facing balcony with steps leading down to the patio. The kitchen is fully fitted and well equipped with an electric Rangemaster double oven and gril, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher.

Living room

This open plan living room with vaulted ceiling and windows full height of the wall, has ample space for relaxing with sofas and chairs, occasional tables, TV with FreeSat HD+, DVD/CD player, . A log burner, with logs provided by the owner, is guaranteed to warm you on a chilly evening!

Reading area

Another double sofa bed for the extra overnight guest. Swapping library, dvds, sound system for iPod.

Plough Barn, set on a private estate with large meadows, footpaths to the Kings Fleet river, woodlands and picnic areas, is the perfect holiday house for those seeking some fresh air, peace and quiet!

There is a balcony with bistro table and chairs, where guests can enjoy panoramic views with access to The patio with table, chairs, BBQ and fire pit. The heated outdoor swimming pool; approximately 100 yards from the house with sun loungers on the pool area, heated changing rooms, toilets and an outside heated shower; is generally available from May half term holiday to end of September. A hard tennis court is also available for guests on a first come first served basis.

Private parking for one car is adjacent to the house, with additional space for visitor parking opposite the Barn.

The Manor House Estate stands on the edge of the coastal village of Bawdsey in one of the prettiest and most unspoilt parts of Suffolk, with many picturesque villages to explore.

There is a small village shop and a public house about one mile away in the neighbouring village of Alderton. Bawdsey Quay has a water sports centre and is an easy cycle ride or short drive away where you can watch the children crabbing, sit on the small sandy beach, visit the Boatyard café for a coffee or light lunch or take the foot ferry to Felixstowe old town.

The lively market town of Woodbridge with a farmers market every Saturday, cinema/theatre, small supermarket and many local independent shops is close, as is Orford where guests can enjoy a river cruise and visit RSPB’s Havergate Island where avocets thrive. The popular tourist destinations of Snape Maltings with it’s Concert Hall; picturesque seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold full or independent shops, restaurants and cafes, and historic Sutton Hoo are all within easy reach.
