Woodbridge is a historic riverside market town boasting an outstanding selection of independent shops, restaurants and pubs. The town has been famous for boatbuilding, rope and sail making since the Middle Ages. The working tide mill is a major attraction and a must visit for anyone staying in the area. The River Deben runs alongside the town and is popular for boating, walking and wildlife with wonderful views over to the National Trust site of Sutton Hoo. The town hosts a number of events throughout the year and is a wonderful place to visit.

We struggled initially with the digital appliances, cooker, tv, heating etc but soon got sorted using the appliance manuals as needed (we are old school folk). Welcome goodies, tea and coffee were much appreciated. Good off road dog walking from cottage to woods and park was pleasing to find. Our week included Woodbridgeâs excellent riverside path walks for stunning views across the Deben, and further away walking along the river Orwell path and Suffolk coastal path. The blue skies and charaterful pubs were our special friends. The cottage is a great jumping off point to explore this area of Suffolk. J&D

Lovely location, in easy reach of all shops, coffee shops, supermarkets etc.. Plenty of parking available on the main Melton Road, never any problems to find a space. Would definitely recommend.
