The River Deben runs alongside the town and is popular for boating, walking and wildlife with wonderful views over to the National Trust site of Sutton Hoo. The town hosts a number of events throughout the year and is a wonderful place to visit.

We had a lovely girly weekend away for a friends special birthday! Just a couple of things to note which were not ideal. Whilst the AGA is a beautiful addition to the kitchen, it took forever to cook food and totally impractical. The beds in the mermaid room were extremely uncomfortable to the point that 2 guest chose to sleep on the sofa for our 2nd night. However, all in all we loved our stay. Thank you!

The aga took a bit of getting used to. Hot tub was great for first few days but wasnât cleaned during our stay so couldnât really be used last few days. Slightly disappointed that when issue was reported we were told that someone would be out that day but they werenât, no follow up call and issue not resolved before the end of our stay.
