We left a day early mainly because of the traffic noise which starts very early. Netflix didn't work on the TV and the kitchen clock needs a new battery, when you are paying over £700 per week, you expect it to be right

Loved the size of the place and the fires were great. The garden area was also really nice and had it been warmer weather we would have made good use of that. Areas for improvement: the cottage needed a good clean, very dusty and grime on things like light switches (high contact areas), dishes all needed a wash and there were spider webs everywhere. The floors needed a good hoover and the hoover needs replaced (broken and doesn’t take a charge). All easily remedied. Only drawbacks for future renters were: parking (available but at a cost and time restrictions on the closest place) and for those with mobility issues or small kids/pets, the stairs are very steep. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would recommend this cottage.
