An elegant stone property with a leafy courtyard garden, nestled in the historic village of Wickham Market. This tastefully appointed hideaway is ideal for couples or small groups of friends holidaying with a tufty-pawed companion. Step back in time as you navigate the intricate workings of the Grade I-listed Woodbridge Tide Mill Museum (5 miles), before cracking open a tipple and stretching weary toes in the roar of the open fire.
This stylish Georgian property boasts a sophisticated interior with muted neutral hues, intricate original fireplaces, timber beams, and plush soft furnishings. With arms full of goodies, pad into the bespoke shaker kitchen and whip up a post-adventure spread. Simmer supper on the striking gas hob then perch at the striped wooden breakfast table to blether over a glass of wine. In winter months, be lulled into the cosy lounge by the flickering flames of the open fire – the perfect spot for a snoozy pup. Snuggle up amongst the plump throw pillows and flick through the Smart TV or thumb through an easy holiday novel. Retire upstairs to find two well-presented bedrooms. Choose between an airy king and a double, each with soft linens and peaceful views. Outdoors, potter in the flower-peppered garden, recline on the bistro set, or indulge in a sizzling BBQ feast.
Soak up the bustling atmosphere of nearby Woodbridge (5.5 miles) as you sample local eateries and browse independent shops. Grab the leads and stroll the lush woodland paths winding through Rendlesham Forest (6 miles) or amp up the pace as you tackle the mountain bike trails. For the water lovers, don’t miss a chance to paddle on the glistening meare of Thorpeness (13.5 miles).

We stayed here in the few days running up to our wedding and had such a comfortable relaxing stay. Such a beautiful homely cottage, such beautiful design and decor and everything worked wonderfully. Thank you very much

Very convenient location for both the good village amenities and for driving up and down the A12 to seaside and other locations - Woodbridge, Sutton Hoo, etc. Can recommend the Flaming Fryer for Fish & Chips. The furniture and joinery at the cottage are to be enjoyed
Mrs Watts
Lovely peaceful cottage with original features, tucked just behind the village church. Easy access to good village shops, local dog walks, and a short drive to the A12 so you can access the coast or local towns . The owner's skills as a carpenter are also to be enjoyed in the lovely furniture. We had a longer than expected stay due to a delayed house move but will have fond memories of our stay.
