Nestled between the Suffolk countryside and the coastal town of Aldeburgh, Sweffling Hall features six traditional off-grid safari tents; Linnet, Skylark, Swift, Cuckoo, Kestrel and Swallow. You have the option to book the entire site or choose from any of the six individual safari tents. Lantern and Larks is an ideal destination for a family getaway, with each tent equipped with a spacious living area, cosy wood-burning stove, outdoor seating and comfortable bedrooms.

Each of our off-grid safari tents at Lantern & Larks, accommodates six guests across three bedrooms. There is one king size room, one twin room and one bunk bedroom. Inside, there is an open plan living area with a spacious kitchen featuring a double gas hob, two cool boxes, a dining table, a comfortable seating area and a wood-burning stove. Each safari tent also has its own private bathroom facilities with running water, as well as its own outdoor seating area with a firepit and unlimited logs included.

We provide rechargeable lanterns and hot water bottles to keep you cosy in the evenings - though it’s always worth packing for a little bit of everything when it comes to British weather.

Sweffling Hall is perfectly placed for exploring some of Suffolk’s most loved coastal spots. Aldeburgh is just a short drive away, with its pebble beach, colourful seafront, independent shops and famous fish and chips, ideal for a relaxed afternoon by the sea. Southwold makes another great day out, with its sandy beach, traditional pier, lighthouse and plenty of places to stop for an ice cream or browse the local shops.

Closer to the site, you’ll find peaceful estuaries, reed beds, walking trails and charming villages to explore at your own pace. Whether it’s a beach day with the family, a coastal walk, birdwatching or simply enjoying good food by the sea, there’s plenty nearby before returning to your safari tent to spend the evening together.

There is an abundance of on site activities that can be booked in advance such as Nature Meditation, Forest Bathing, Astronomy Sessions or you can explore the local area with activities such as Beachcombing. Find out more about each of them here.

Additional Information:

A security deposit of £500.00 will be held, few days before your stay, when booking the full site and refunded within 7 days of departure.

This is a off-grid glamping site. Light is provided by rechargeable portable lanterns. Mains electricity is available in the site shop only.

During periods of extremely dry weather, the fire pit may be relocated. Gas BBQ may be available (shared basis).

Late arrivals may be subject to an additional charge. Please enquire before booking.

Up to four well behaved dogs welcome per tent (small additional charge)

Additional tents, including small camping tents, are not permitted.

All adult bookings must be discussed and agreed before booking.

Please keep noise to a minimum after 9pm and no music.

No stag or hen parties allowed.
