Visit Suffolk with your family and have a wonderful trip. This cosy cottage will comfortably accommodate a small group of four and their dog, and the surrounding area is full of adventures. It is a haven for anyone who loves wildlife, walking, cycling and the coast.

As you enter the property, you’ll find a bright, whitewashed lounge with a wooden floor, exposed beams and warmed by a wood burner. It’s a sociable spot to spend time in the evenings, curled up with a book or watching a film. The kitchen/diner is next door, equipped with everything you’ll need. Head upstairs to find the shower room and bedrooms. There’s a king-size for the grown-ups and a twin for the kids, each simply decorated and comfortable so you can sleep well and be ready for the next expedition. You’ll have access to a garden across two levels. There’s a patio with flower beds and a gravel spot with a table and chairs so you can have a cup of coffee in the sunshine. To the front is another pretty garden, looking towards the Snape Maltings Concert Hall, as well as the River Alde.

You’ll be in the village of Snape, a small and friendly place with a few pubs within 500 metres. Make sure you explore Snape Marshes to see the wildlife, including ponies, otters, kingfishers and much more. Grab your bike and try the Viking Mountain Bike Trail, 2 miles away, or wander around the Captain’s Wood (5 miles), an ancient woodland nature reserve. Finish with a day at Orford Ness Black Beacon, 6 miles, a coastal spot with a 1920s building formerly used to store radio equipment which now offers incredible sea views and occasional art exhibitions.
