The hedging had holes in it. There was a A road just the other side. There was also a rather large lake, looks like a pond in the photos isn’t not safe to have around dogs that like to be in the water all the time could not let the dogs off in the garden without actually being on a lead. When we arrived all the kitchen equipment was piled up on the table in the kitchen. If you can call the kitchen, it was about the size of a small bathroom, they had recently revarnished all the worksurfaces these were still tacky. The grass in the garden hadn’t been cut the bathrooms absolutely filthy. They were dead flies in the bath, the shower and on every single windowsill in the building , the noise from the road that was very close to the house approximately 2 1/2 away had so much traffic overnight that even though we had a four day booking and arrived at 4 o’clock on the Thursday evening and we left the building at 5 am on the Friday morning. It was absolutely appalling. Do not recommend this property to anybody . I would ask for a refund, but it’s probably a waste of time.

Low headroom inside was a bit of a surprise, especially the doorway into the bathroom. The floors aren't flat, but all that gives the property character. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there. If you like something that isn't clinical lines and ultra-modern, then this is a great place to stay. Lovely welcome pack too.

The cottage has everything you need, apart from wardrobes which should be mentioned on the description and may be the very steep stairs which is difficult for people who have mobility issues.
