The Anglo-Saxon burial site of Sutton Hoo is just outside the town and is a must for any history enthusiasts. The pretty seaside town of Aldeburgh is 15 miles away and has a fabulous shingle beach and long promenade to explore, as well as multiple boutiques, galleries, and studios for picking up little souvenirs from your trip.
