The holiday home has a gorgeous traditional brick exterior but a contemporary style inside that everyone will fall in love with. The open-plan living area is flooded with light thanks to large patio doors that look out onto the marshes; sit on the sofa here in the morning and take in the views. You can still get cosy though – snuggle up in front of the TV and ornamental fireplace in the lounge and watch your favourite film. Make sure you visit Dunwich Heath (2 miles) and RSPB Minsmere (4.5 miles) where you’re bound to spot birds such as the Dartford warbler and the woodlark. Popular Southwold (9 miles) is a must-visit; take an invigorating speed boat trip on the Coastal Voyager or try the bizarre amusements at the Under the Pier Show. Hire canoes, kayaks or paddleboards from Iken Canoe (16 miles), or stroll the grounds of Framlingham Castle (16 miles) if you prefer being on dry land. And don’t forget Africa Alive Zoological Reserve (13.5 miles) that the kids will love.
