About this property

Offering stylish living accommodation, this period cottage is set close to the amenities of Aldeburgh, Suffolk, and is ideal for a couple or small family on holiday. The property offers a superb location tucked away in a quiet street and yet is still really close to both the beach and the high street of Aldeburgh. Inside, the accommodation has a beautifully appealing interior with warm blue hues throughout reflecting the seaside location. The sitting room is warm and welcoming with a truly inviting seating area positioned in front of a gorgeous open fire, to help take the chill off in the winter months and providing a lovely focal point to the room. The open-plan kitchen/diner comes fully fitted with everything needed to create delicious food for your loved ones and there is an elegant dining area ready to host romantic meals together, as well as a breakfast bar for less formal dining. Outside, there is a bench at the front to catch any sunshine with walled gardens to the rear with patio furniture all ready for alfresco drinking and dining, should the weather allow it. As the sun goes down and you get ready for bed, make your way to the beautifully appointed king-size bedroom, which offers a calming sanctuary. In the morning, after a quick coffee on the patio, you can plan the day’s activities. Enjoy a stroll into Aldeburgh which has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as a museum and a beach, with Thorpeness and Southwold both a short distance away and also offering fantastic beaches. Attractions to visit include Glemham Hall, Easton Farm Park, Framlingham Castle, RSPB Minsmere and Yoxford Antiques Centre and Gardens. If you fancy a round of golf then there are some fantastic courses in the region including Halesworth, Thorpeness, Southwold and Beccles. For a seaside stay in a beautiful cottage, make sure you book a visit to Sundial Cottage.

The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. For those wishing for a more action-packed holiday there is excellent walking, cycling, sailing and golf at Aldeburgh. Growing in popularity you will want to return to Aldeburgh again and again!
