Throughout this ground-floor apartment, originally a telephone exchange, period features add character through high ceilings, generous airy rooms and sash windows, captivating your attention as you recline in the open-plan living area, where wooden flooring and a theme of dark blue spreads throughout a contemporary kitchen/diner and sitting area, a great social space for all guests to enjoy. Travel along the shared hallway to discover three bedrooms, a king-size with an en-suite, a second king-size and a twin, as well as a handy family bathroom. Aldeburgh is a simply stunning location with so much to offer guests, beginning with a high street bursting with independent shops, tasty eateries and local pubs, where you can sample local produce and enjoy a glass of your favourite beverage in the sunshine. Visit the towns museum to learn more about local history, or if you love to immerse yourself in nature, take a stroll through Haven Nature Reserve or enjoy coastal views at the Snape path. Last but certainly not least, Aldeburgh has a fantastic pebble beach that can host walks in the salty air, wild swimming and of course be the perfect backdrop to a family picnic. Make a holiday to remember with a stay at Skimming Stones.

The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. For those wishing for a more action-packed holiday there is excellent walking, cycling, sailing and golf at Aldeburgh. Growing in popularity you will want to return to Aldeburgh again and again!

Being on the ground floor in a built up area, it doesn't have views from any of the rooms. The beds were comfortable and the living/dining room was good. The bathrooms were great and there was plenty of hot water. The underfloor heating (in December/January) was hopeless, so we had to use the fan heater if we wanted to warm a room. The lighting was strange in that there are plenty of lights in the lounge/dining/kitchen but many of them barely give off a glow. I think they must be old low energy bulbs nearing the end of their life. It is a reasonable property, but there are much better places in Aldeburgh if you book well in advance.

Perfect four night stay for four sisters. Good restaurant five minutes walk away on sea front. Parking space very tight but plenty of on street space available.

We’ve used Best of Suffolk so many times I can’t remember, so I think it speaks for its self! Website is brilliant, we had an issue with the dishwasher whilst we were there this time and it was dealt with in know time.
