About this property

A seaside Edwardian duplex apartment with a view of the ocean, easy access to local amenities and an open-plan living area, Runton is a fantastic getaway for those looking for a quaint town and salty air. Park a short walk from the property and make your way up to the first-floor, where you will be delighted to settle down for a coffee in a tastefully furnished living area, with walls painted in a placid hue, white furniture, and wooden flooring, a selection of sofas sit beside a gas fire where you can warm your feet after a long day at the beach, and why not utilise the airy kitchen space, serving a heart-warming meal on the dining table? On the first floor there is a wonderful double bedroom with an ornamental fireplace and access to a contemporary shower room, and for more places to snuggle up for the night, ascend the stairs and you will find a super-king-size and a king-size with a bathroom, perfect for soaking away the chill of the ocean air. Outside, find a spot for afternoon tea alfresco style in the shared garden where you will have access to the top half, with a patio and furniture for you to enjoy. Aldeburgh is a picturesque seaside town offering a great variety to guests, beginning with boutiques, tasty restaurants, and local art shops where you can browse at your leisure before enjoying a heart-warming meal and a glass of your favourite beverage. A short walk from the apartment stretches an impressive pebble beach, great for walking, watersports and a picnic with a view! If you love walking, then there is also the option of the coastal Snape path or Haven nature Reserve where you can immerse yourself in wildlife. For a slower paced afternoon, why not try out a game of golf? Explore the coast of Suffolk with a stay at the wonderful Runton.

The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. For those wishing for a more action-packed holiday there is excellent walking, cycling, sailing and golf at Aldeburgh. Growing in popularity you will want to return to Aldeburgh again and again!

But: The lock on the door jammed with us all in it on arrival.Very alarming, but we had someone with us with great was able to open the door and temporarily fix the lock but it needs a new one. Plus the dishwasher didn’t work. The other thing for me as a small person I couldn’t see in the mirrors, or reach shelves in the Kitchen a little pair of steps might help. .
