The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. The towels were large, soft and fluffy. However there are negative points. The cottage is part of a larger property and noise from the rooms above the lounge; walking feet, baths being filled, people talking, general movement, etc was very distracting. It was especially noticeable after coming in from a lovely day out, sitting down with a relaxing cuppa, to have running feet and chatting above your head. This problem is exacerbated as there is no outside space to move out to. Due to the proximity of the road, all windows have translucent blinds for privacy, but this in turn means that there is reduced natural light. It can feel quite claustrophobic when having to switch on lights even though the sun is shining outside. The kitchen area has very limited work surfaces for even simple meal preparation. There is no provision for recycling paper, plastics, glass or food waste. The main bathroom toilet did not flush effectively. Dusty knickknacks. Parking can be within 50 metres, but on a couple of occasions was two streets away.

It allowed me to completely relax and restore. It would be great if there was an indication where the glasses and crockery were located as I had to search.

Pity no garden or courtyard. Unfortunately, on our arrival the apartment had not ben cleaned and there was still used bedding and towels awaiting laundry. However, this was rectified very quickly after a phone call.
