The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. On attempting to prepare our first meal we found that the microwave was missing. We than turned to the oven which was VERY dirty and filled with dirty and greasy filled pans. A new microwave was provided and the pans returned after an attempt to clean them but we felt that these together we cleanliness of the oven made this unusable for us. The master bedroom with its excellent views requires a table either side of the bed. A lack of any information made the use of the television and wifi difficult and wasted a lot of time sorting out how to use it. Half way through our two week holiday we discovered the washing machine would not work and despite a call to Sykes this problem remained unresolved. On the last day the the fire alarm intermittently sounded because it required a new battery. We feel the description on the web site should mention the steep, narrow staircases in this very tall building.

Comfy beds and everything we needed, in very central location of Aldeburgh.

Ideal space for our family break and much more spacious than the pictures suggest. and I personally loved being able to enjoy my morning tea in bed while looking out over the sea! Very relaxing, thank you.
