Symonds House is a charming three-story, two-bedroom cottage (sleeping 4). New for 2022, Symonds House is situated within the renovated and Grade II-listed Stowlangtoft Hall Courtyard. The Courtyard complex is located at the heart of 1,000 acres of woodland, parkland and Estate grounds that make up the beautiful Stowlangtoft Estate in Suffolk.
The cottage interior is a modern country design, with all new furnishings and fittings throughout. Guests enter from the courtyard into a truly one-of-a-kind property. On the ground floor is a well-appointed living/dining room, with an open fireplace, along with a well-appointed kitchen. Step up to the first floor and you find a spacious bathroom and master bedroom. On the second floor, you will find a twin room with beautiful views of the courtyard and beyond. The cottage boasts contemporary luxuries in the form of a flat-screen Smart TV, and Wi-Fi, along with a dishwasher, microwave and washing machine with the usual appliances in the fully fitted kitchen.
The living room opens up onto the courtyard, which is a great space to enjoy evening dinners and drinks. Walk to the rear of The Courtyard to the communal gardens, which lead onto a huge open outdoor area with a children’s play area, football pitch, and stunning views of the Suffolk countryside.
You could take a walk or drive 1 ½ miles to Wyken Vineyards, to browse in their lovely shop, buy some Wyken wine, or sample local produce from the Saturday Farmer’s Market. For children, there are animals in the meadow (including llamas) and a woodland walk (open April-September).
The historic market town of Bury St Edmunds is nearby where you can walk through the beautiful Abbey Gardens, with the remains of the 11th-century abbey, plus a lovely playground and ducks a plenty to feed. Explore the market square (market days on Wednesdays and Saturdays) or take a tour around the Greene King Brewery (every day, varying times). Lavenham is a 35-minute drive away, famous for its wealth as a medieval wool town, with over 300 listed buildings and a huge church tower - Guide yourself on a fabulous walk of the town and discover the leaning houses and many other treats. Shops and pub 2 miles.
The Coach House (Ref UKC4947), The Amherst House (Ref UKC4949), Langetot (UKC4948) and Stearn Cottage (UK17917) can be booked together to accommodate 24-31 guests, they are situated close together in the courtyard area of Stowlangtoft Estate.

Would have given 5stars for everything,but the open views from dinning room not there .Unfortunately we have dogs and it was a bit of a trek to dog park just to let them out for a wee etc first thing in morning and last thing at night.
