Guests say

Lodge 38 in Stowmarket is highly praised for its peaceful setting, spotless interiors, and well-equipped amenities. Guests appreciate the comfort, including cosy sofas and comfy beds, as well as the welcome pack. The garden and access to a field for dog walking are also highlights. While some minor issues with outdoor seating and kitchenware were noted, the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment, with many guests eager to return.

The majority of guests found the lodge to be spotlessly clean, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, one review mentioned the need to wash glasses before use, indicating a slight oversight in cleanliness.

The location is generally appreciated for its tranquillity and suitability for dog walking, with a field accessible from the garden. However, one guest was disappointed by the site's residential feel and frequent traffic, slightly affecting the score.

Guests consistently report a high level of comfort, with special mentions of comfy sofas and beds. The lodge's spacious yet cosy atmosphere contributes to a homely feel.

While the lodge is well-equipped and offers a range of activities, including fishing and golf, some guests noted a lack of outdoor seating and kitchenware, which suggests room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

The welcome pack was mentioned positively in several reviews, indicating a thoughtful touch by the host. However, as gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, this cannot be factored into the score.

A perfect location with really comfortable accomodation. The welcome basket was outstanding. It was perfect accomodation for my 93 year old father who has some mobility difficulties and allowed us all to spend time together.
