lovely place for a holiday with a great indoor pool

  • LEE MARSDEN

My wife and I stayed with our adult children and grandchildren, 11 in total. Ken the owner was brilliant and very helpful. The property is amazing and very spacious, plenty of space for us all, 2 large tables that we sat around to eat and tables in the garden for the BBQ, There was plenty of pots and pans to cook for us all. The swimming pool was brilliant, large enough for us all to be in together very clean and well maintained. We had 4 cars and we easily parked, Tesco just up the road but we arranged a delivery to make things easier. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer which was great as we needed it.You need to remember this is a converted barn on farm land, there will be cobwebs etc, this did not worry us at all, the home is clean and well kept.We all had a great time and may well go back as we had such a great timeThank you Ken

We had booked for our large party of 12 including 3 babies and unfortunately didn’t experience what we’d hoped. The pool was uncomfortably cold despite asking for the temperature to be turned up - the adults were cold, the babies were unable to use it. The beds were flat and uncomfortable. The lounge and kitchen areas were covered with ants, which perished food left on the kitchen worktops. Other general cleanliness was poor, with used tissues and lip balms found in bed side tables and a used vape found down the back of one of the double beds upon arrival. All in all, a very disappointing stay, particularly given the price paid - so our trip was cut short and we left 2 1/2 days early.
