About this property

Downbridge Lodge is a well-presented, single-storey barn style property offering stylish accommodation for up to four guests in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. Both bedrooms can be configured as twins or super-king size beds, and each bedroom has its own Smart television and en-suite bathroom, making this property ideal for families and friends alike.

The vaulted, open-plan living space with modern kitchen is a wonderful space for entertaining and the cosy sitting room is great for curling up in front of the wood burning stove after a long day of exploring. All on one level, both bedrooms have their own en-suite bathroom, and the property benefits from a further wet room, as well as wide accessible doorways. On brighter days you can open up the bi-fold doors to feel the warm summer breeze or enjoy some alfresco dining on the stone terrace complete with fire pit, barbecue and outdoor seating. The covered outdoor seating area is ideal for admiring the countryside views when the weather isn't as pleasant and can be enjoyed day or night.

For keen cyclists, there is a secure shed with plenty of space for storing your bikes. However, if you prefer to explore on foot, you can follow the public footpath at the rear of the property to the historic village of Hoxne.

Dear Stuart and family. We've had a wonderful few days in your beautifully presented lodge. Every detail has been thoroughly thought through making this an exceptional place to stay. It is ideally situated for many activities and there's a host of wonderful pubs nearby. We particularly liked The Swan in the village and The Crown in Great Glemham near Framlingham. We look forward to returning in September.

Second stay here and a another very enjoyable week. Lodge is so clean, comfy, bright and airy with everything you would need and Stuart is very helpful and hospitable. Lovely days out at Walberswick and Southwold and the pier brought back happy childhood memories. At Aldeburgh we saw well over a dozen planes - new and vintage - practising for the Coronation - amazing!! Debenham was a new find - a very cute village with beautiful old properties. Eating out is always enjoyable in Suffolk with particular favourites The Swan in the village (very friendly) and The Good, The Bad and The Hungry at Wingfield (great breakfasts and evening meals). Two Magpies at Darsham also great for breakfast (french toast, bacon and maple syrup a dream) and a supply of cakes to come away with were a must. Thank you Stuart.
