The compact yet nicely appointed kitchen leads you to the pretty garden to the rear, where you can enjoy the delights of outdoors under a sheltered patio area, looking out across the manicured lawn towards a plethora of beautiful flowers and plants, cascading around its borders. The bathroom is positioned on the ground floor for your convenience, finished traditionally with a neutral shade of tiles. Overall, the cottage description was fair but I feel the trials of the circular staircase were not emphasized enough. It was treacherous, especially as it was painted with gloss - don't use in socks or stockinged feet! I had the adjacent curtains off the wall at one point. The toilet is tight between the roll top bath and wall. Anyone of a wide girth might struggle. It's a nice cottage in a lovely village but certainly not for the infirm, elderly or anyone with weight or mobility issues.

The stove was the biggest drawback - very difficult to use despite reading instructions. The touchpad on hob was not always responsive to pressure and the hot plates could switch themselves off for no reason. The oven itself was also extremely difficult, not always heating up and delaying our supper more than once. It seemed to get muddled up with timer mode, but even this wasn't consistent. Basically the technology is far too 'clever' and complicated and for older people who use the cottage nothing can beat a simple old fashioned stove with knobs! Otherwise the garden and outside area was lovely and the appearance and location of cottage.
