A choice of six luxurious and romantic Gold Award winning Suffolk Barns in the heart of the rural Sufolk countrysideAll beautifully presented, with Oak beams and flooring, antique and modern furnishing, offering couples (and toddler) a well-earned break in a very relaxing atmosphere.They are all 'dog-friendly' with a private, enclosed garden; the perfect romantic, cosy cottage.
We normally accept one or two dogs but we're happy to discuss another with you. We even leave a dog treat as well as a delicious local breakfast basket for the humans!The Barns nestle into mature trees near our fishpond to create a peaceful little environment to relax in.The gardens all have their own enclosed garden area with a patio, BBQ and seating for eating outside and there is also lovely decked area overlooking the pond for when you fancy a change of scenery to enjoy the sunset.The Meadow is down a pretty country lane just outside the little Suffolk village of Stonham Aspal.There are lovely walks and cycling straight from the Barn and the pretty Suffolk 'Heritage' Coast is just 30 minutes away.They are all traditional style Suffolk barns with black weatherboarding and heavy internal Oak trusses and beams and oak flooring. The Granary Barn has natural slate on the lower floorThey all have farmhouse style kitchens with antique furniture and furnishings and stable door entrances so that in fine weather you can open up the door for a lovely airy start to the day.The fully equipped kitchen is well laid out with ample work surface, oven, Belfast sink, microwave and fridge.There is a separate barn with laundry facilities should you need it (Free)They all have a cosy living area with a comfy sofa and lovely clearview log burning fire,TV/DVD/CD player and ipod docking station. Bikes are also available free of charge, including our fabulous tandem 'Daisy'They all have high vaulted ceilings showing off the massive Oak beams. We have a choice of barns with mezzanine bedrooms, single storey cart lodges and the Granary which has two storeys.Travel cot available if you have a little 'un.There is a well organised bathroom with a good sized shower on the ground floor of five of them (The Granary is upstairs)Because of the enclosed garden and oak floors we are happy to accept pets in all these lovely Barns.There is ample off road parking.

My husband and I have just recently had the pleasure of staying at Deben barn thanks to gift from a friend to celebrate our anniversary of 25 years since we met and our 40th birthdays. And all I can say is what an amazing choice she made!! This was the most relaxing and tranquil break we could of wished for and being able to take our pooch along with us just made it extra special. The barn is absolutely gorgeous, warm and homely and so well equipped, along with a stunning breakfast hamper to greet us on our arrival. Would definitely recommend staying here and we look forward to re-visiting in the future.

Wonderfully friendly service from Carl - nothing was too much trouble. The Orwell Barn is a beautiful and we'll appointed barn that sleeps two; small, but perfectly formed! The location is remote and quiet - perfect for getting away from it all and perfect for long country walks. If you want to visit some of the surrounding areas and villages then a car is needed (unless you're very big on walking!). Bikes, dvds, books and boardgames are provided free of charge so even if the weather turns bad you can keep yourself occupied.I will certainly consider a return trip, perhaps with family and friends to stay in the larger Woodbarn House!

This was our sixth visit to Woodfarm Barns. As always the second we arrived all the stress and strains of work etc disappear. Carl as always is the perfect host. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The local area is simply beautiful with so many places to visit, fantastic places to eat and drink (close by you have Aspals cider, and my personal favourite Adnams beer ) Every few months there is a pop up restaurant at Woodfarm farmhouse, if you can get there it's well worth it. Fantastic food and you don't need a taxi home! The barns are beautifully furnished and have everything you could need. Carl even supplies a breakfast basket so if you arrive late you won't go hungry! We have a two year old golden retriever who has been going since a small puppy. The barns and the whole of Suffolk is very dog friendly. With most pubs giving dogs a warm welcome. Try the Jolly Sailor at Orford after a long walk along the salt marshes. But there are so many others too. All in all the perfect place to stay in the perfect location.
