Buttermilk Barn is Simply Wonderful!! Beautifully decorated, lovely finishing touches, very cosy & comfortable. Everything you could possibly want from a holiday cottage was provided. Great location to visit lots of places of interest, including the suffolk coast. The hosts were very attentive & friendly. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

We had a fabulous week at Buttermilk Barn. The rural location proved a little tricky to find initially but, once we were in, the quiet and tranquil setting was perfect for a truly relaxing week! All the main places of interest are within easy reach and the drive to the coast is easy, on quiet roads passing through picture postcard villages. Southwold, Walberswick, Snape Maltings and Aldeburgh all well worth a visit but the highlight for us was Thorpeness, a real gem and still relatively unknown. The accommodation itself is beautifully finished with lots of home comforts, lovely finishing touches and all the mod cons you need, set in the fabulous gardens of Carl and Alison's home. We had all the privacy we needed but, at the same time, our hosts were just a few seconds away when we needed them. Their 'can do' attitude, particularly when we found ourselves in a dinner predicament, really made the week for us. If you're after a true get away from it all holiday, with the chance to sample some truly stunning British countryside, we can't recommend Buttermilk Barn enough and will definitely be back in the future.
