Stunning cottage inside and garden perfect for relaxing or BBQ with family/friends and with countryside view and quiet. It’s superbly well equipped, spotlessly clean. Perfect for a family get together. Space to park 3 cars. Highly recommend

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunset Cottage. I had a couple of questions (one about the heating and one about the lights) so phoned Mike, the owner. He was very pleasant and helpful and even phoned back about 20 minutes later to check that we were warm and everything was OK. Much more was provided than we expected and one got the feeling that no corners had been cut to save on costs – everything was luxurious from the toilet rolls (of which there were lots of spare ones) to the exotic liquid soaps on each sink and the lovely carpet throughout the upstairs. Shower gel and large towels were provided too. Coffee, sugar, normal and speciality tea bags, cooking oil, small milk pots, butter-type spread, a welcome basket with snacks and other items were provided. There is a TV in the kitchen as well as the one in the lounge. The bathrooms were lovely, especially the large wet room. I found the king sized bed too soft (not sure if it was memory foam) but the other beds were comfortable. The Art Deco pictures, furnishings and lamps all looked great and seemed just right for that property. The house was quirky in a wonderful sort of way with remote control devices for many of the lamps and automatic opening and closing kitchen bins. Two wind-up torches were also available. The garden is pretty and even had flowers blooming at the end of October. There is a pub, The Barking Fox, 0.2 mile away which is welcoming and does nice food. Mike provided a folder with information about the local area and about use of things in the house (e.g. the cooker with induction hob). The location is quite remote from shops, but was not too far to drive to shops or to places of interest (e.g. Lavenham). I would definitely recommend Sunset Cottage for a warm, luxurious and comfortable stay in a spacious house.
