Guests say

Old High Hall is a charming, historic cottage with a beautiful garden, offering a step back in time with modern amenities like central heating and Wi-Fi. It's ideal for family reunions, providing ample space, a well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable furnishings. Some guests suggest improvements, but overall, the experience is highly recommended, especially for its superb antique decor and countryside location.

The property is generally described as spotlessly clean, but there are mentions of dusty wardrobes and some dirty kitchenware, indicating room for improvement in cleanliness.

There is insufficient information to accurately score the location as reviews do not provide specific details about the surrounding area or its convenience.

The property is praised for its homely feel and ample space. However, some guests found the twin room mattresses uncomfortable and the bedrooms too hot, suggesting the need for fans.

The property boasts a well-equipped kitchen and modern amenities, but guests have noted issues with maintenance, such as poor patio lighting and the need for decluttering. The small fridge size and lack of walk-in showers were also points of concern.

There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate the level of thoughtfulness, so this score cannot be provided.

Superb step back in time in this stunning thatched accommodation. Wonderful communication with the owner and manager as well as oodles of space to explore. Central heating was excellent as well, the house warmed up very quickly.

Stunning period property, with lovely gardens and period furniture, but needs refurbishing and decluttering- and fans for warm and hot weather. The twin room mattresses are very uncomfortable, the wardrobes rather dusty, the kitchen had some dirty cutlery and crockery mixed in with clean - and no fans for warm weather - not all the windows open and the owner was unable to provide fans, unlike other cottage.com properties we've stayed in. Also the kitchen is full of stuff, with little space to store your own items. It also has a very small fridge for a large group - when the supermarkets are 20min drive away, this meant too many grocery runs. Enjoyable stay overall, but some improvements would be recommended. Also suggest a guest book - surprisingly this was missing.
