Space wise perfect for a family of 7, three generations. Curtains are lovely. Needs a few odd jobs to bring the lodge up to good standard. Found a couple of socks that weren't ours - maybe cleaning thoroughly need to be addressed. Beware of the Ninja conker throwing squirrels

Chestnut lodge was spacious, very comfortable and just what we wanted. A couple of small breakages needed sorting, but overall a very comfy home from home to relax in!

We loved our stay in Chestnut lodge, beautiful surroundings, we saw rabbits and a deer behind our lodge. Staff were friendly and helpful, leaflets in reception for ideas, we did crab fishing at Shotley Gate, biked around Alton Waters, went to Colchester Zoo and Felixstowe all great, just a note we found alot closed on Mondays and Tuesdays even in mid August. Did a lovely walk to Pin Mill, loved the studio and The Butt n Oyster, also the Ship at Skevington and the Chinese at Chelmondiston very very good, also The Loch and Quay was good with amazing views in the evening. Didn't miss a shop on site, we preferred the peace and quiet, Tescos and Asdas were only 10 mns away. This holiday is definately on our favourite list.
