A charming single-storey cottage situated a stone’s throw from Dedham Vale in the heart of Constable Country. This beautifully presented holiday retreat is set in beautiful grounds and has access to a tennis court by arrangement.

Hollyhock Cottage sits in the grounds of a 16th century farmhouse with views of the nearby fruit orchard and homeowner's beehives. All ground floor accommodation, the cottage has been tastefully furnished with pieces of antique furniture and has been kitted out with everything you should need for a relaxing stay. The large, open-plan sitting and dining room features an impressive wooden bookcase jam-packed with books and the dining table and chairs are nestled next to the cosy wood burning stove. In the summer months, you can throw open the french doors and soak up the afternoon sunshine on the patio. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine and has views of the garden beyond. The two well-appointed bedrooms share the colourful family bathroom complete with bath with shower over. The master bedroom has a generous 6' super-king size bed and has been decorated with muted tones to create a light and airy feel. The second bedroom has twin 3' single beds making it ideal for both adults or children to share.

Outside, guests have their own private patio complete with garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue. The homeowners have tennis courts which guests are welcome to use by prior arrangement only. Guests are also welcome to book a creative workshop focusing on interiors and country which is offered by the owners of Hollyhock Cottage. The cottage is fabulously located between Colchester and Sudbury and is very close to the chocolate box villages of Stoke by Nayland, Nayland, Dedham and Lavenham. The Stoke by Nayland Golf Club and Spa is a five minute drive away for those that might fancy a spa treatment or a round of golf.
