Visit charming Long Melford, 5 miles away, to explore the delightful independent shops, boutiques and galleries. Lavenham, 4.5 miles away, and considered to be Britain’s best preserved medieval village, is renowned for its exquisite architecture. Venture 5 miles to find yourselves in the fringes of the Dedham Vale National Landscape. This picturesque landscape is also known as Constable Country, as it featured so heavily in the work of romantic painter John Constable. Plan a day out in Bury St Edmunds, 17 miles away, with its cathedral and Benedictine abbey remains. Potter in the shops here and choose between an array of eateries.

Make your way into your private hideaway to find it offers cleverly arranged, single-storey accommodation. Step straight into the welcoming lounge to take a seat on the soft brown sofas and unwind for a while as you reflect on your latest excursion. Light the wood burner in here on chilly days, find a film on TV or set up a board game on the coffee table. Take one step up to the right to discover the kitchen/diner, which has exposed timberwork and a country cream finish. There is plenty of space in here for whipping up hearty meals and congregating at the table to enjoy them. One of your king-size bedrooms, which has an en-suite shower room, can be found to the left of the lounge. The other two, one also with an en-suite shower room, are located from the hall. The family shower room is also here. All bedrooms have zip and link beds which can be made into twin beds on request.

Step out into the enclosed courtyard garden to make the most of the Suffolk sunshine. Have morning coffee outside on fine summer days and share a bottle of wine on clear starry nights. Set a fire in the hot tub to ensure it is toasty and warm just when you want to hop in. There is private parking here for three cars.
