Nearby you can find two wonderful market towns; Leek and Ashbourne both offer their own charm with an abundance of superb shops and other attractions. Avid ramblers and cyclists are also well catered for as the simply astounding Peak District National Park is within such easy reach.     Lovely welcome pack . Even better having a superb pub next door . Steve the landlord of the pub and owner of the cottage let us park our second car on the pub car park which was a bonus. All in all a great walking holiday from the cottage door , never needing to use the car until we went home . Five star break .

    It was clean, tidy, modern and just what we wanted and more. The only main issue we had was with the neighbour, who began raising their voice and shouting at some of our party for parking on the public road outside the property. Although we were aware of the car park, we told them that we were up early in the morning and the car park would not be unlocked in time. However they did slightly dampen our moods. However the staff at the Travellers Rest and the property itself more than made up for this mishap with the neighbour, so if you weee considering booking, I’d just be weary of that.
