About this property

This former potting shed has been refurbished to the highest standards, offering a spacious open plan living space, wood burning stove, hi-spec kitchen and large bedroom with luxurious en-suite bath made for two. Set in the historic Weston Park estate which offers 1,000 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped parkland and within close proximity to the beautiful Shropshire countryside and Welsh borders.

Taking inspiration from its former use, the design scheme weaves in gentle nods to its heritage with white washed walls and quirky features, but with all the home comforts you would expect.

Entering the property through large glazed doors, the open plan living space features a hi-spec kitchen, wood burning stove, sheep skin rugs and a comfy sofa. The large bedroom has a luxurious en-suite bathroom with a bath made for two, heated floors, twin sinks and soft lighting. A secret door from the grounds leads into the historic walled garden with direct access to your very own entrance to the Granary Restaurant for you to explore and enjoy at your leisure.

Set in 1,000 acres of Capability Brown Parkland, Weston Park is a stately home, events venue, visitor attraction and luxury get away all rolled into one. At certain times of the year you will need to share the estate with a wide variety of events that take place in and around the Parkland. There are also times of the year where no events take place on the Estate so please click here to take a look at the calendar – you may even be planning to come along to one! The Shropshire/Staffordshire area also has plenty to explore with the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gorge and its famous museums, foodie destination Ludlow and historic Chester all within easy reach.

The Weston Park Foundation, an independent charitable trust who own and maintain the Estate, has given each property a new lease of life balancing comfort and modernity whilst remaining sympathetic to their extraordinary heritage thus providing a rare opportunity to stay in the heart of this historical estate.

Begin your stay on the Weston Park estate with a delicious meal ready for you in your cottage - prepared by Weston's team of Chefs with the finest of ingredients. The Potting Shed is by far the best cottage we have stayed in, having stayed in many cottages nationwide over the last twenty years. Beautifully clean and contemporary accommodation in a perfect setting. We would highly recommend.

A beautiful location with superb accommodation. The Potting Shed was spotlessly clean with everything you could need, including a great hamper. The views were really lovely and we had such a relaxing time. It was just so peaceful, with so many fantastic walks on the doorstep, plus a lovely bistro and coffee shop just five minutes’ walk away! We would definitely like to go back.
