    The Weston Park estate on the Shropshire Staffordshire border is home to four unique historic holiday properties each with their own story. The Weston Park Foundation, the independent charitable trust that owns and maintains the estate has given each property a new lease of life balancing comfort and modernity whilst remaining sympathetic to their extraordinary heritage thus providing a rare opportunity to stay in the heart of this historical estate.
    Set in 1,000 acres of Capability Brown Parkland, Weston Park is a stately home, events venue, visitor attraction and luxury get away all rolled into one. At certain times of the year you will need to share the estate with a wide variety of events that take place in and around the Parkland.     This bothy was used, as the name suggests, as a workshop for the team of gardener’s who worked in the glass houses providing pot plants and cut flowers for the House. Benches would have been full of clay pots on work benches, bamboo canes and equipment that the team would need from soil sifters to planting out trays – all of which are referenced in the interior design.
    Taking inspiration from its former use the design scheme weaves in gentle nods to its heritage with white washed walls and quirky features but with all the home comforts that you would expect.
    Entering the property through large glazed doors the open plan living space features a hi-spec kitchen, wood burning stove, sheep skin rugs and a comfy sofa. The large bedroom has a luxurious en-suite bathroom with a bath made for two, heated floors, twin sinks and soft lighting.
    A secret door leads into the historic walled garden for you to explore and enjoy at your leisure.

  • If you don’t feel like cooking the Granary Grill, Deli and Cafe is a short walk or drive from each property. Based around an open plan kitchen and grill our seasonally inspired menus are created by Head Chef Guy Day and his brigade. The Grill serves lunch daily and dinner from Wednesday through to Saturday.
    Over in the Granary Deli you will find fresh bread, quality cheeses, cured meats, homemade cakes and savoury pastries, oils, vinegars, jams and chutneys plus some very special ingredients that you won’t find in the supermarkets.


  • The Fox in Chetwyn Aston serves excellent food however booking is advisable.

  • The Shropshire/Staffordshire area has plenty on offer to explore with the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gorge and its famous Ironbridge Gorge Museums, foodie market town of Ludlow and historic Chester all within easy reach.

  • There is an abundance of walks within the Park where you often spot an array of wildlife. Slightly further afield and you can walk up The Wrekin – a well-known landmark in the area or Cannock Chase, a huge area of parkland.

  • Weston Park’s Woodland Adventure Playground is the perfect day out for the children with slides, zip wires and a cargo net.

  • The Miniature Railway, a mile long journey through the glorious grounds of the Park.

  • Play a round at Shropshire Golf Club.

  • Fish with RH Fisheries Limited, one of their fisheries is located within Weston Park.

  • The Granary Art Gallery is situated on the estate. Selling exhibitions by acclaimed artists from the UK and beyond, along with items on loan to the gallery from private collections.

    "One of the few premises I have been in where the photographs on-line don't do justice to the size of this property. Bright, comfortable and well fitted, and impressive interior design. The hamper provided was also very good.Staff on the estate were friendly, helpful and cheerful. Food in the restaurant was very good, and the cafe was very pleasantLoss of a star for the following issues. We rarely felt warm in the bathroom, and adjustment of the temperature was too complex for this technophobe.Also, as the shower has an open end, it ***** in cold air, so it wasn't a comfortable experience. First use of it, on full, resulted in flooding part of the bathroom. It therefore wasn't possible to have it on full.I felt the heavy shutter screen provided to give some privacy across the front door, could be considered a hazard in the event of attempting to escape a fire. Wouldn't vertical blinds be better? They can also be drawn across.One of the exterior lights, at the bathroom end, is low and I banged my head on it. The two either side of the front door are higher, so why not this one?Finally, the A5 road is alongside, and although it did not affect our sleep I can see that in summer, sat on the terrace the noise could intrude."

The location is lovely, with walks around the grounds of Weston Park literally on the doorstep, and the Granary deli and restaurant a few minutes walk away. We'll be back."

    "The building has been beautifully converted with great attention to detail. The only negative was the nearby very busy road, which you couldn't really hear with all the door and windows shut. We live in a quiet location so,if the weather had been hotter and we'd needed to open the windows at night, this might have kept us awake."
