Having spent a week at Oasis Cottage I can thoroughly recommend it. We found it to be clean and well equipped throughout with a delightful enclosed ,sunny garden which was perfect for our dog. There were many places of interest within a half hour drive of Broughton Giffard and we were able to visit several National Trust properties and gardens.

The cottage itself was excellent so no complaints there in terms of comfort and cleanliness. My main reason for giving the average rating was that it turned out to be unsuitable for our small dog because the adjoining neighbours also had a dog and once this dog had realised that we had one it came up to the adjoining fence and barked frantically (the. neighbours made no attempt to stop this) until we went back indoors. This effectively meant that we were unable to use the garden (or the back yard) for the entire stay. Admittedly not the fault of the owners of our cottage, but I would want dog owners to be aware of this. Regarding the facilities, these were good, but some documentation for the TV and cooker would be useful. More importantly, there should be a more clear warning about the pond in the garden.. Our doggie had already had an alarming unintentional swim in it before we spotted the brief mention in the documentation.
